NHS EDUCATION FOR SCOTLAND TEAM LEADER Agenda for Change Band 5 – £22,440- £29,034 per annum Permanent Full Time – 37.5 Hrs/wk Who We Are NHS Education for Scotland (NES) is an education and training body and a special health board within NHS Scotland, with responsibility of developing and delivering education and training for the healthcare workforce in Scotland. Full information on the recruiting department is available “here” What you’ll do These will include but are not restricted to: -Participate in the development and implementation of training programmes and associated policies in partnership with local, local educational providers (Health Boards) and national governing bodies (GMC, Royal Colleges, etc). -Co-ordinate and monitor administrative processes to support trainee progression including managing Shadowing and Induction processes, the planning and organisation of the Trainee Annual Review of Competence and Progression (ARCP), administer and support the Trainees who require additional support in the Training Programmes. -Provide administrative support and expert advice to Specialty Training Committees and associated meetings, working closely with the Chair. -Ensure accuracy and validity of information on Deanery Training Programme Management database, including vacancies as part of the establishment control and recruitment processes. Maintain files and spreadsheets for designated area of responsibility. Analyse data and produce reports and statistics within NES and to external individuals and organisations when required including resolution of exception reports. Participate in the ongoing development of the Deanery digital systems. What you’ll bring These will include but are not restricted to: • Educated to Degree Level or equivalent significant experience • High level administrative experience • Experience of operating at a supervisory/senior level and working in a team delivering results • Well developed written and verbal communication skills • Organisational and planning skills • Excellent interpersonal skills including effective negotiation and influencing • Ability to use a high degree of tact and diplomacy CLOSING DATE 14 SEPTEMBER 2017 INTERVIEW DATE TBC Unless otherwise stated the deadline for applications is 23:59 hours on the closing date.
