SPECIALTY REGISTRAR LAT / LAS / CLINICAL FELLOW (LOCUM APOINTMENT FOR TRAINING/LOCUM APPOINTMENT FOR SERVICE) The opportunity has arisen for a number of LAT / LAS / Clinical Fellow positions within the Directorate of Medicine, NHS Tayside. Applications will be considered for appointment at ST3 level. These posts can be offered as 80% Acute Medicine and 20% in a medical specialty of your choice, e.g. Acute Medicine, Endocrinology/Diabetes or a 100% in either of the following specialties Acute Medicine, Endocrinology/Diabetes. The successful candidates would be expected to contribute to General Medicine On call and may be based in hospitals across the region. The Postgraduate Dean has confirmed that these programmes have the required educational and staffing approval. All posts are Fixed Term up to 31 July 2018. These posts may be at any of the hospitals on the rotation. However, we are also keen to hear from individuals who are looking for shorter periods of employment. Training programmes are open equally to those who may, either from the outset or subsequently, wish to train less than full-time. If appointed to a relevant Specialty Training Programme through open competition, documented competences achieved through a LAT can count towards CCT, or towards a CESR application for those not entering an approved Specialty Training Programme. There are good library facilities at Ninewells Hospital and active teaching and research programmes in which participation is expected and encouraged.
