FACILITIES DIVISION, RAIGMORE HOSPITAL, INVERNESS ESTATES DEPARTMENT, ESTATES WORKSHOP MECHANICAL FITTER – BAND 4 FULL TIME, PERMANENT Salary scale: £20,302 to £22,910 plus recruitment and retention premium (RRP) of £3,443.76 per annum A vacancy has arisen for a Mechanical Fitter based in the Estates Department at Raigmore Hospital, Inverness but primarily covering the wider Inverness community areas. Duties will include the maintenance and repair of a variety of heating systems and mechanical equipment including Biomass Boilers, Oil Fired Boilers, Steam Boilers, HVAC Plant, Pressurised Air and medical gas systems. Applicants should be time served in a mechanical discipline and able to demonstrate extensive experience in these fields. Previous experience in heating systems and boiler plant would be a distinct advantage. Applicants must be able to work as part of a team, without direct supervision and must be willing to work out of normal hours as required. The post holder must also be willing to participate in an out of hours on-call rota. Travel to other sites within the NHS Highland area may also be a requirement. A driving licence is an essential requirement of the job. The post is eligible for a Recruitment & Retention Premia (RRP) of approx £3k, on call allowance and enhanced rates for overtime and call outs in addition to the basic salary.
