Field Service Engineer (Healthcare) Paying £28000 – £36000 (with overtime) Plus monthly bonus Van and fuel card provided Field based East Scotland, The Opportunity We have an opportunity for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a UK leading supplier of medical/healthcare consumables, equipment, furniture to the UK Care Home Sector. They are well established and have a strong reputation for over 25 years of excellent service across the NHS, Nursing Homes, Care Homes, Occupational Therapists and local authorities UK wide. They currently have 6 Engineers UK wide and due to expansion they are looking for another member to join the excellent current team to cover the region from Perth, North to Inverness and East to Aberdeen in a triangle in Scotland. In return for your service you will receive a strong salary with the chance to boost this with overtime, monthly bonus and regular reviews to uplift on the basic. A van and fuel card is provided and you will travel from home to customer sites. The Role Our clients market is the healthcare sector, specifically private and public sector care homes and hospitals. As Field Service Engineer your role will be to carry out planned and reactive equipment maintenance mainly on mechanical and some electrical equipment predominantly in patient moving & handling, patient lifting hoists, specialist baths, electric beds, in accordance with the LOLER Regulations of 1998. Responsibilities The Field Service Engineer will be responsible to: *carry out planned preventative maintenance to patient hoists, baths, beds, shower trolleys, changing plinths, scales and other equipment including a weight test where appropriate. *attend reactive breakdown callout to equipment as described above. *carry out and complete repairs works arising from above activities. *carry out installations of new equipment such as floor mounted hoists, celling mounted hoists, baths and wall mounted equipment such as adjustable height changing plinths. The Candidate The ideal Field Service Engineer will have; *Experience in maintenance of this type of equipment would be an advantage, although training would be given * Experience in customer contact and liaison *Good grounding in mechanical engineering *Some knowledge of electrical engineering. *Engineers are all CRB-checked so you must be able to pass this *Full UK driving license Hours of Work 40hrs a week Monday to Friday Overtime paid after 40 hours at 1.5 Travel from home to site.
